Instagram Collaboration Posts in Campaigns
What is it?
Campaigns now track Instagram Collaboration Posts more reliably, so you capture capture more campaign content and report on it more accurately.
How it works
A collaboration post is tracked if its author is in your campaign, regadless whether the author has authenticated their account. If the author isn't in the campaign, the post is still tracked as long as at least one of the collaborators you've added has authenticated their account. If neither condition is met, the post cannot be included in your analysis.
Each collaboration post counts as one post, so your campaign totals are never double counted. In influencer-level views, the post's metrics are split equally between the collaborators in your campaign. For example, if 2 of a post's 4 collaborators are in your campaign, each gets 50% of the views and engagement.
Why it matters
Collaborator posts have become a popular way for brands to expand their reach. By bringing multiple audiences together around the same piece of content, brands can maximise visibility and engagement.
Collaboration posts have been hard to track consistently until now. With this update, more campaign content is captured automatically, and you get a more accurate view of each influencer's contribution.
